Leadership Training at Local NAACP Branch

On March 30, 2023, SJAP President, Thomas Allison, was engaged by the Pomona Valley NAACP to provide an authentic leadership and strategic thinking training for the NAACP branch’s leadership. The training was part of a series of trainings President, Jeanette Ellis-Royston, arranged to improve branch operations. The training covered:

  1. Authentic leadership principles

  2. Different Forms of Leadership

  3. Who are you? Personality assessments and discussion

  4. The Role of Servant Leadership in Authentic Leadership

  5. Leading an Organization in a Culture of Authenticity

Community-based organizations that perform well betters the community for everyone. Serving marginalized communities in a community means the community in general is made better. Stronger, informed, and inclusive communities are key to social justice.
